Stabio, Switzerland (January 9, 2019) – Vans rides into the new year with a brand-new innovative snowboard boot, the Vans Hi-Standard Linerless DX. Developed for street and park riders, the Hi-Standard Linerless DX’s minimal design is the perfect choice for the snowboarders who are seeking the freedom of closer contact, ultimate board feel and control.

Working collaboratively with Vans snow team rider and snowboard wizard Mike Ravelson, the Hi-Standard Linerless DX offers a new slimmed-down, linerless design with a stable internal foam package to provide the support needed to ride all day. The Hi-Standard Linerless DX’s de-volumized upper reduces the overall size of the boot, supplying a lightweight and flexible style with no internal harnessing for a more skate-like feel. The Hi-Standard Linerless DX is built with Vans’ new V1 Waffle Lug outsoles, providing a standard footprint for a seamless fit into everyday snowboard bindings.

“The future is linerless!”
Vans snow team rider, Mike Ravelson

Joining the Vans Family in 2015, Mike “Rav” Ravelson gained his masterful board control in the icy hills of Massachusetts. With a one-of-a-kind approach to his riding, Rav is one of the most entertaining snowboarders of his generation. Drawing from his love for skateboarding, Rav blurs the line between technical skill and gets loose with a wild trick selection that is far from traditional. A multifaceted snowboarder with a heart of gold, Mike always travels with his guitar, skateboard and sketch book to keep his creativity flowing while on the road. Watch Mike’s awe-inspiring video part in Vans’ latest full-length snowboard film,  LANDLINE.
